18.0315-0905.a1i. What Hevea wants - a Quota system

PROMPT: Expand and improve the following into an entry in Thalia's personal journal/blog entry (addressed to Marla) in which she describes a (metaphorical) discussion directly with her own rubber fetish, Hevea (or "Hevea"). (FYI: James and Lorraine are not present.) Add some dialogue between them. Strive for about 1000 words.

  Dear Marla,

Metaphorically speaking, I had a 'conversation' with Hevea.

I asked her: "What do you want?"

Her response was, as always, for me to be 100% enclosed in latex ,100% of the time.

"Are we aware that this is impossible in the real world," I asked her?

I continued, "Human skin needs air, daylight and bathing now and then. There are also social obligations and things like visits to the dentist, the grocery store, etc. One cannot be in latex for those."

Hevea pondered this thoughtfully, smiled (metaphorically), and asked, "What if we modified that mantra to read: the equivalent of ~100% enclosure, ~100% of the time?"

"What does that do?" I asked.

My fetish replied, "This gives us versatility. Now we can make use of layers and other delicious challenges we have not yet dreamed up to compensate for time lost while bathing, shopping, etc."

"What do you mean," I asked.

"Ok," The metaphor of my rubber fetish continued, "What happens on Thursdays when we spend the entire day in Thorpton with the Hahns on a shopping run? Naturally, we cannot be in TotalEnclosure latex then. We have to show some skin. This would make us fall many hours short of your '100% of the time' requirement. You'd 'owe' me that deficit of Deep Rubber time. What things could we do to 'earn' a bunch of extra hours to pay me back?"

I replied. "Oh! you mean like wear an extra suit all day long? Layers are nice."

"If one is good, then two must be better, right?" She asked mirthfully. "But let's be aware that the impact of putting on the second suit is not nearly as satisfying as the first one. We will say that the second suit has only 50% of the overall impact on us. Adding a third or even fourth layer would 33% and 25%, respectively. Each additional layer has increasingly less impact on your overall experience. So, to be consistent, we'll use the number of layers as the divisor and put a one over it. If we have three layers on, the 3rd layer is 1/3 = 33% coverage. It's easy to remember and I think it seems reasonable."

The metaphorical Hevea let that sink in. "So, to get yourself back on top of your quota, for the day we owe me, we would need to wear two ~100% coverage suits layered for several days to wipe out your deficit."

"Huh? Why three days? Wouldn't it just be two?" I asked.

"Think about it. The second layer is only 'worth' 50% of the first one, so we have to wear it twice as long to be equivalent."

"Oh, yeah. Duh! I get it now." I replied, feeling stupid and embarrassed.

She smiled and said, "Of course, this is not realistic. I know we cannot be 100% enclosed for more than a few hours."

"It's sounds like if I take a day off from rubber, it would take forever to make it up to you,"

"Yes, that's the idea." She said with a mirthfully wicked giggle. "But It also opens the door to using additional garments or, perhaps, some fun BDSM 'Ordeals' to earn some big chuncks of extra hours. For example, we could establish that, say, 15 minutes in a full hogtie might be equivalent to, say, 8 hours of ~100% latex enclosure." Then she giggled. "Just think. If we were 32 hours behind we could fix it with just an hour all tied up!"

She continued, "What we need is some sort of bookkeeping system to keep track of this. I'm thinking that, by engaging in enough 'extra curricular activities' , we could be live up to our mantra of ~100%/100%!"

o CAUTION: The dialaogue in this scene involves tricky interplay with conversational ownership. Keep in mind that Thalia and Hevea both share the same physical body, memory and history of experience, but, each of them is also independently sapient. Thalia is the host of the body -- she controls it; Hevea cannot. Hevea is Thalia's sexuality. Consequently, any references to the body should be as "we","us" , "ours", etc. Whereas, when either of them thinks or speaks it is from the standpoint of "I" or "me". Logic dictates ownership.]]
